..and whiskers on kittens...

Hello again, it's been too long. In the meantime, our mother has turned up the heat. I love the heat, but it must be worked with to maintain complete garden happiness... Early watering in the morning has been the main focus lately, having gotten most of our summer travels out of the way over the extended holiday break. I was inspired in my visit to the Edgefield Resort in Troutdale, Oregon, where gardens and greens are abundantly beautiful. As for our plot, basils and chards are currently being harvested, along with endives and escarole close behind. Beets and tomatoes are booming in this heat, as long as we keep up on the watering. Tomorrow calls for work, play, and more work. It gets so hot and Spokane happens to have a large, cold river to balance things out. Yes! Nothing like a good chill to refresh your mind halfway through the day. Be inspired, strive on. Thanks to friends and family for constant love and appreciation! Cheers, JR
