Good Lunchy!

Ground Cherrys are the bomb. We thought after our early ambitions and the late freeze last year that our chances at any fruit were out the door. Turns out we were wrong. Our success was bountiful. First seeds are planted and we have our fingers crossed for another bumper crop.



So like i said we are growing chicks again, but this time for food. Here is a look at our first 25 broilers. To my surprise they seem to eat their weight in food every day. We will keep you updated on their growth and the building of the drag tractor that will hold them harvest.

Spring is Near!

With the recent weather around here we have gotten off to an early start at Beanie's. Spring cleaning has already begun even though it still winter for two more days. The winter hasn't damaged anything of significance with minor exception of the fence needing a few repairs.




Justin, a friend from work has shown some early season ambitions. Already donating lots of shovel time and his living quarters. All the starts are at his place along with twenty five baby chicks. In ten to twelve weeks we will have some "Good Lunchy!".

Well I'm happy to report that the gardening year is just beginning and we are all ambitious and excited. We have nine seed trays going right now with 72 cells in each.
